Ok, let me confess……I am not a baker. Most of you know that. But, I am a sucker for a baking cookbook. There is something about the pictures of dark, rich chocolate brownies, flaky pie crusts, and yeasty breads that rope me in. And this one is no exception.
The www.betterbaking.com website is a fantasic resource for baking tips and recipe and now they have turned it inot not only one, but two cookbooks. There is a follow up to this cookbook, that is just as good.
One of the things I like about this cookbook, is that for recipes like the Soft Pretzels, they also include a great Mustard Dip. Also, for some recipes, there are stories as to how the recipes came about. I like a cookbook I can get into, and feel like I’m a part of. Not to mention the pictures……there aren’t a ton, but what is there are fabulous.
Check it out for yourself, I think you’ll be infatuated too. But watch out, one baking cookbook might turn you into a closet baking-cookbook-hoarder, just like me.
